About Special Education

Our Special Education department provides high-quality services and programs to fully support youth ages 5 to 21 years old of all abilities in reaching their full potential. Services include assessment, direct student services, licensed specialists, consulting, training, and alternative learning programs. 

The Collaborative for Educational Services offers innovative, high quality programs in both public and private settings for students with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual impairment, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioral disorders. Programs include small group and individualized instruction across all curriculum areas and support through clinical specialists. Our professional staff provide direct and consultative services, assessment, and evaluation. (Parents who are interested in our Special Education Programs should contact their local school district’s Special Education Director.)

Our staff of highly qualified professionals provides a wide variety of direct, consultative, and staff development options to support local programming efforts. We assist school districts through consulting and coaching services that include program development and evaluation, support, and supervision, as well as technical assistance on compliance and other issues. Schools and districts seeking to implement and manage cost-effective local programs may arrange for consultation services that are customized to meet local needs. We offer:
